Stuart joined LB Group in 2003, having started his career in a small local practice, before spreading his wings to larger companies both in London and Sydney, Australia.
This path brought Stuart valuable skills and knowledge of a wide range of industries, business types and financial regulations. Then, with this experience, and at just 28, he become one of the youngest ever directors of LB Group.
Over Stuart’s length of service his role has evolved, but now heads up the groups Corporate Finance department servicing all offices. He spends his time supporting companies with a number of their corporate matters, including company valuations, funding requirements, succession planning, acquisitions and company disposals.
A key aspect of Stuart’s role is advising owner managed business on their strategy. This includes advising in relation to acquisitions, raising funds, and discussing the paths to exit their business. With Stuarts tax knowledge he is able to provide a complete offering in strategic advice.
Together with helping LB Groups clients, Stuart’s focus is also on supporting private equity firms and lenders with financial due diligence and offering transaction services.
Stuart is a Chartered Accountant (ACA), a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA), and an associate of the Chartered institute of Securities & Investments (ACSI) – making him an expert in accounts, tax and corporate financial areas.
