This National Payroll week we celebrate and shine a spotlight on our Payroll champions.

National Payroll Week was established in the UK by the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) over 20 years ago to celebrate the Payroll profession and give the industry the recognition it deserves. Today, National Payroll week is bigger than ever and has received support from the Right Honourable Rachel Reeves MP, who acknowledges the importance the payroll industry plays to the economy.  

Payroll Champions 

In August, we welcomed Susan Elsdon to the LB family. Susan takes up the role of Payroll Director as a seasoned expert in Payroll and employment taxes. She brings with her 20 years of compliance experience considering the roles of HR and Finance to understand the downstream impacts on payroll processing and reporting.  

As a proud member of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP), Susan fully supports the #ChoosePayroll campaign. She said, “Over the past decade, payroll obligations have become increasingly stringent and time-consuming. Clients now require a trusted advisor to ensure compliance with HMRC and Employment Law. During National Payroll week, the Institute run a full week of free webinars hosted by the CIPP and IPP education, so this is a wonderful opportunity to gain valuable insights from leaders in the field and grow in professional confidence.”
