He has extensive experience at all levels, from large international companies and major PLCs through to entrepreneurial fast-growing businesses and well-established family concerns He has worked in major centres of finance across the world – London, New York, Singapore and Hong Kong – and has advised clients in North and South America, South Africa and the Middle East as well as in the UK. BackgroundBefore joining us in 2006, John ran the commercial banking business of Royal Bank of Scotland/NatWest in the City and East London. Previously, he had managed the part of the Bank´s commercial banking business in the City and Essex that was focused on medium-sized enterprises. While at RBS, John spent time studying with Harvard Business School and was seconded to the Department of Trade & Industry for two years. John is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland (MCIBS). He plays a significant role in Inspiration East, the annual honours programme we support.
